R.I.P Sprout Channel (2005-2017)

After seeing my friend Brendan Barney's video about how today is, (or was, since this video has been uploaded after midnight), the final day for Sprout (formerly known as PBS Kids Sprout) as a standalone channel and is now being moved to Universal Kids to be aired as a block from this moment on. It's kind of sad, especially since I've always enjoyed Sprout before PBS ended their contract, and all the PBS Kids shows (except for Caillou and The Berenstain Bears) were removed. Even if Sprout isn't enjoyable these days with their own "original" shows, I still had a lot of memories from that channel, and I'm gonna miss it a whole lot.

Sprout was my whole childhood on a channel. To me it wont feel the same as a block.

Oh great...first Hub, then Boomerang, then Club Penguin, now Sprout (formerly PBS Kids Sprout). Man, this world of getting worse. And Sprout is no exception. 2005 was the golden days of the channel when it was owned by PBS Kids at the time. Then after PBS Kids left Sprout, the channel started to get worse. And by mid 2010's, the channel is getting very worse, even though their programming is still good (and sometimes bad), and the channel jumped the shark after uploading their 'Finger Family' video.

Now it was rebranded as Universal Kids...and it is butt like everyone says. It's now 87% Netflix programming, 36% Sprout, and 12% Sprout programming. After the change, they still have Sprout, but it was foolishly now a block instead of spinning off as a second channel of Universal Kids. The block is also one of the biggest pieces of butt ever. The replacement hosts are awkward (although the dog is cute and the woman is a-okay to me.), and most of the quality on the block is trash now. Most notably, their Finger Family. It is also a piece of butt. Oh, and almost all of the programs on that channel are PAL-pitched instead of NTSC-pitched.

The change overall is nothing but a piece of butt. Everything is butt now, the new Sprout block is butt, their programming is butt, their closing logo is butt (especially the Sprout combo, witch is trying SO HARD to be Sony.), Every thing on Universal Kids is now butt. Kids miss the 24/7 Sprout channel so much, even their parents miss it so much!

😮 My son watched Sprout from 2013 to end of 2016 then we switched cable networks & couldn't find it. I had no idea that it's gone for good 😥😭
