The Political Process | #2 | Our First Year In Office | Let's Play

This simulation game is very slow paced, but also very interesting for anyone who is a fan of simulation games. We play as a politician in the United States, and follow their career through the whole political process. In this episode we experience our first year as Mayor of Portland, and put together a city budget, as well as see the 2020 election play out in game (with random characters of course).

Just played this for the first time the other day. I'm super impressed by the game. Obviously, it would be nice to have like HUNDREDS of additional legislative options, but the mechanics of the game are so good in so many ways. Not perfect, but no game has come closer to what it's actually like (as someone who has worked several campaigns and worked in a state legislature for a while). It's kind of like the "Democracy" games, but you aren't playing as an all-seeing good with auto-refreshing political capital.
