Elon Musk criticises Donald Trump’s AI project

The first fracture between Donald Trump and Elon Musk may have appeared after the announcement of a new AI project.

The US president unveiled a nearly $800 billion investment into AI infrastructure, alongside the leaders of Softbank, Open AI and Oracle, which will create a new company called StarGate.

Elon Musk has taken a swipe at the deal on X, writing "They don’t actually have the money. SoftBank has well under $10B secured. I have that on good authority".

I haven't looked too deep into Trump's intentions with AI, but I hope it doesn't involve building humanoid robots or replacing humans to do tasks that we can do just as a good, if not better. If the AI helps in the medical field, that would be a huge win. I like Trump on most of his policies, but AI is a gray area.
