The thing is is that ppl think bars like cliff and kind should be good protein bars or a good way to lose weight but once they find out the calories they start to hate on them when in reality there meant to give you a source of energy for activities like hiking which explains the high carbs/sugar levels per bar

Cliff bars are great for hikes. You need that sugar!

Just grab whatever protein bar is going to help you reach your total protein intake by the end of the day. Just because the carbs or fats might be a little higher than the protein, doesn’t mean it’s suddenly cancelling out or counteracting the protein itself.

No wonder why I fart a lot after eating my protein bar

Pure protein bars are pretty good. I get the chocolate deluxe which has 21g of protein for 180 calories.

It doesn't matter what rest of the macros are if I want to get some protein on the go to match my daily requirements as long as it's writin my calorie limit though lol

if it's 15g protein and 25g fat, it still doesn't matter as long as I only need 15g protein and I'm not crossing my calorie count for the day

Pure Protein bars are my favorite.

22g of protein and everything else is less.

I always knew about the protein rule as it's always good to hit your protein consumption every day.

For me, since I weigh 195lbs, I would have to consume around 135 - 195lbs of protein

Imo the best way to look at "protein" bars is that its just a snack/energy refill that has a healthy balance of macronutrients. Most bars have between 25 & 40% of the calories filled with protein. If you want to make some serious gains you normally want to get like 25-30% of your calorie intake from protein.
A protein bar is decent addition to your diet, but it's not going to compensate for a carb/fatty meal you ate earlier that day.

Love how you teaching US!!!! Reading nutrition labels is imperative and it’s something unfortunately we didn’t learn but we can change that now!!!! Just started a fitness motivation channel for beginners if anyone needs!

The protein-to-calorie ratio is most important. You want something with a 1:10 ratio or lower. For every 100 calories you want at least 10 grams of protein.
