Welcome to my beginner’s guide to getting your family started with minimalism! In this video, I share my top tips for getting your spouse and children on board with decluttering and living with less.

I’ll be sharing the biggest lessons I’ve learned along my minimalism journey thus far, in hopes to save you some time and stress, and ultimately, better equip your family with the tools and systems needed to achieve a more simplified home and joyful life.

We’ll be chatting communication styles, defining your WHY, decluttering rules, leading by example, pride of ownership and how to deal with judgement and self doubt. By the end of the video, I hope you’ll feel empowered to take back control of your home and inspired to involve your entire family in the process. You’ve got this. ✨

Also, this is my perspective as a new mom of two littles. Would love to hear about what works for you parents with older children.

Thanks for watching!
xx Savannah

Great tips, I definitely agree with the leading by example. I became a minimalist about 6 years ago. Whilst my husband wasn’t onboard at the start, he noticed that fewer things means more time, less, and quicker cleaning, and less time spent maintaining things. He still isn’t a minimalist but we have a very minimal home, and he is also on a journey of decluttering to free up time, money and space, and we both believe in a simpler life. It’s a game changer. Good luck for baby number two. Love from Cornwall UK. X

I'm def not a minimalist, but my family and I have gone through our possessions and we have given up things that don't serve us purpose any more and so on, and now my small apartment, separated from my family, feels so much lighter and it is as if it's easier to breathe.!

I don’t think Canada is much better regarding consumerism. I have gone through my possessions over and over as my husband and son are not as eager. It seems like every day I’m able to let go of more of my own things just out of frustration.😖

Good tips. I'd say, show more examples, and leave them on-screen a bit longer. I'll watch some more of your videos. 😊
