submarine - a ship that can travel underwater

airplane - a vehicle designed for air travel that has wings and one or more engines.

motorcycle - a vehicle with two wheels and an engine

ambulance-a special vehicle used to take sick or injured people to hospital

ship - a large boat for travelling on water, especially across the sea

tractor - a motor vehicle with large back wheels and thick tyres, used on farms for pulling machinery

fire truck - a fire engine

school bus - a bus for taking children to and from school

sailboat - a small boat with sails

bicycle- a two-wheeled vehicle that you sit on and move by turning the two pedals.

van - a medium-sized road vehicle, used especially for carrying goods, that often has no windows in the sides at the back

car - a road vehicle with an engine, four wheels, and seats for a small number of people

hot-air balloon - an aircraft consisting of a very large bag filled with heated air or other gas, with a basket (= container) hanging under it in which people can ride

scooter - a vehicle with two or three small wheels joined to the bottom of a narrow board and a long vertical handle attached to the front wheel.

rocket - a large cylinder-shaped object that moves very fast by forcing out burning gases, used for space travel.

helicopter- a type of aircraft without wings, that has one or two sets of large blades that go round very fast on top. It can land and take off vertically and can stay in one place in the air

subway - a railway system in which electric trains travel through tunnels below ground

bus - a large vehicle in which people are driven from one place to another

train - a railway engine connected to carriages for carrying people or to wheeled containers for carrying goods.

truck - a large road vehicle that is used for transporting large amounts of goods

yacht - a boat with sails and sometimes an engine, used for either racing or travelling on for pleasure

limo - a large, expensive car, often driven by a chauffeur; short for limousine

motorboat - a small, fast boat that is powered by an engine

police car - an official car used by the police
