Intelligent Emergency Call is available as standard or as an option for the following models and series in the USA and Canada for model year 2024: F 900 R and XR (optional) K 1600x (standard), R 1250x (standard), R 18 B and Transcontinental (standard), S 1000 R / RR (standard), CE 04 (standard). Intelligent Emergency Call introduces a discreetly concealed SOS button, complete with a robust loudspeaker and a sensitive microphone, integrated into the right-side handlebar controls.

The eCall system harnesses BMW Motorrad Connected Services, which can be activated during the new vehicle handover to the customer. When the SOS button is pressed, it establishes a direct connection between the rider and an agent who can be apprised verbally of the prevailing circumstances, including any potential injuries, and can summon emergency services if necessary. In the event of a motorcycle fall or collision, an eCall is automatically initiated.

For the model year 2024, all new BMW M motorcycles come complete with the 600-mile Ultimate Care Break-In Service. The BMW Ultimate Care service initiatives were introduced in 2021.
