This aircheck was recorded on 2 March 2023 at 5:58 pm in Bangkok (6:58 pm Manila time). As practiced by laws in Thailand, here's the moment when the station rang out the "Phleng Chat Thai", the country's national anthem. As mentioned, Thais must stop what they are doing and stand at attention to pay homage to the anthem that was played out over loudspeakers in the streets, and even on all TV and radio outlets across the country, twice a day, at around 08:00 am and again at around 06:00 pm.

Founded in 1938, Radio Thailand is the public radio station in Thailand, owned by the National Broadcasting Services of Thailand. The station has 6 national and 65 provincial FM radio stations, 4 national and 46 provincial AM stations, and World Service. Some of Radio Thailand's provincial radio stations can be received in neighbor countries of Thailand, such as in Malaysia, Laos and Myanmar.
Under the reign of Prajadhipok, King Rama VII, Thailand initiated its first radio broadcasting experiment in 1927. The Radio Technical Division of the Post and Telegraph Department has conducted the experiment by using a small radio telephone transmitter, about 200 watts of power, at their old building of the The Radio Technical Division of the Post and Telegraph Department, which was located just in front of the Wat Ratchaburana temple, and now been completely demolished in order to build the Phra Pok Klao Bridge, parallel to the Memorial Bridge - or the Phra Phuttayotfa Bridge in Thai - on the other side of Bangkok.
