When my cat looks at me like that I blink really slow and I guess this calms her down because inmediatly she adopts a more relax posture and looks another way. Except when it's about food 😄. Love this channel. Hugs from Argentina. 🤗🇦🇷

My fur baby is so spoiled he knows how to get what he wants. Like food or its time for bed or just momma time & if I leave a room he follows shortly after lol & yes when he wants attention or when I'm fixing food he has to have some lmao He sleeps with me & when I get up he usually gets up too. He is my baby for sure. Thanks for sharing this video

He wants to go outside and check out the chickens in the yard. It's the little ones he's fond of.

My boy stares at me for everything. His food, my lap, outside you name it. He's never been a crier. He meows when I walk by and he wants petted. 😊

They give me the feed me looks. If I'm late I'll know it. It's when they stare at the ceiling above me or at the wall behind me when I take notice. Saved me from many spiders sometimes a cob web. Thanks for the info😸

My cat stares at the front door when we’re expecting a package for him.

Good video .I get the "I want" stare several times a day, and it will go on until he gets what he wants .It's all very polite but persistent .Since sir has just been given some chicken thigh meat, I don't suppose I will get any stares, with or without blinking, for a while .

"They're trying to dominate you" - Yeah, that sounds about right lol. When you mentioned blocking you from leaving a room, my parents moved to a house where there was kind of a circular path around the stairs. Their cat would regularly block our dog by just standing in a doorway and making the dog take the long way around. Seemed to mostly work unless food was involved in which case the dog instantly became dominant.

If I am on my bed, laying on my side, Kramer will climb on my thigh and stare at the back of my head.

One of my cats, a feral, is Miss Midnight the Feral Queen of the Office. She has the thousand yard stare that you would associate with a warrior that has been in the shit for too long. She LOVES me, but, she still has THAT stare. I wonder what she saw go down out there. She LOVES pets...from me.

This is very informative. Thank you for this! I have a cat that stares at me a lot, now, I know why. One time he stared at me for a very long time, sitting close to me, as I cried over my loss of another beloved cat.

Sometimes food, sometimes pending attack, sometimes interested in what I’m doing, sometimes they’re waiting to “tell” me something, sometimes they just want to make sure I’m nearby.

I write this as two cats are in the bathroom watching me taking a bath. One of them is staring, the other is as always looking for things to play with or lick (like water or toothbrushes).

Also, cats don’t need to blink like we do. Blinking is more of a choice. It’s probably an adaptation that makes them very good hunters. They have a third eyelid that keeps their eyes moist and protected without interfering with their eyesight.

I’ve often wondered why my cat would do this. I much prefer her softer half-open eyes.

My cat (actually I am his human not the other way around) stares at me mostly in the mornings when he is hungry and waiting for me to stir, wake, and then feed him.
