- The first exercise stimulates the heart, lung area to stimulate the activation of prana (life force) and core muscles.
- The second exercise moves the energy along the spine and directs it to the Nabhi Chakra, hips and the lower inner organs.
- The third exercise awakens the energy of the root and its sexual/creative expression.
- The fourth exercise is a lunar type of breathing (Sitali Pranayama) that creates peace of mind and "vagal tone" (the boosting of parasymphatic nervous system).

Practice this sequence regularly and keep the 4 exercises the same length. Starting with as short as with 60 seconds each exercise (or less), and gradually add 30 seconds as the days, weeks and practice goes by.
