Thanks for the video. I think that BYD has made the mistake of delivering this vehicle on the old platform. Had it used the blade 2 on the 800V platform, it would be a competitor as I like the looks of the car and has most of the bells and whistles I would want. BTW after visiting a city in the South of China I would say that at least 50% of cars on the road are EV’s of all makes and models not even heard of in Australia. And very few petrol stations to cater for the ICE cars.

someone in the know told me pricing will be $54, 888 before onroads for the premium. we'll get 2 models, premium and performance both with 81kwh battery with 150kw max DC charge rate.

Did just watch tesla bjørn do a test with sealion 7 awd 82kw battery in running 13kw 100km passing 600 km. Before having 2% battery when stopping on a charger.

Agree with most of your comments Sam, however rating an NMC battery in Xpeng as better than LFP is a judgement based on only one aspect, power delivery, and not all the other battery attributes that make the Byd Lfp superior!

53k for the AWD Design in the Netherlands. For a lease-rider I'd say it's a good price. I had a test drive this morning and was pleasantly surprised.

Will be looking at others like the Juniper and G6 tho. Zeekr 7X was on my shortlist, but is not really priced competitively.

Currently driving a Model 3 from 2020.

In Norway it sells with a 91, 3 kWh Blade battery with 502 km WLTP.
The really bad thing with this car is that it only has about 320 kg payload..!
Its an elephant with its netweight of 2450 kg. Which is over 400 kg more than the TMY.

This car is bigger than model Y and Xpeng G6 both inside n out and longer wheelbase. Should mention this fact.

BYD might have better dealer network than Xpeng. That is why they sell way more in China as well. Otherwise I agree BYD need a denser battery on large/performance vehicles. Surprising that they are only using LFP/. Either go for NMC or at least LMFP battery to make it competitive while we wait for Solid State battery in few years time.

Zeekr 7x, Luxeed R7, Avatr 07 and many others look way more impressive for sure.
