What I thought was so creative about the Powerpuff Girls' theme was the music style changed when each of them flew into frame on screen, so it was like each Powerpuff Girl had her own different theme WITHIN the main theme. And even as I kid I remember thinking, "Wow, that's so cool!"

i wonder if the studios knew that making banger theme songs was critical for the show's success, or if it just ended up that way. cuz these songs are STILL stuck in my head

Fun fact: every character in _As Told by Ginger_ wore a different outfit in every episode, which required them to give every character a fresh reference sheet for every episode.

The best part about Arthur is Arthur's intentionally late "hey" in the chorus, it's always so adorable!

The choir behind the Fairly Odd parents is phenomenal as well. The movement of it is just absolutely perfect. The chords they produce during each transition is just ear candy

I never realised how important cartoon music could be - comforting that kids get exposed to interesting music early to develop their musical brains and taste. My kids loved Phineas and Ferb - so many things to talk about there!

Something kind of neat about the Ed, Edd N Eddy theme is how the whistles corelate to their names. D, D-D, D-D-Y, and then back again, so damn clever

That’s Macy Gray singing the theme to As Told By Ginger. She’s incredible.

I'm 31 years old and I'm glad someone is finally showing the PPGs theme song the appreciation it rightly deserves. That theme song couldn't have went any harder- and neither could the cartoon. Blood and guts everywhere. It was amazing.

Ed, Edd, and Eddy always blew my mind with their nonstop different sound effects. A league of their own.

I think this really just scratches the surface. So many animated shows have music that deserves an enormous amount of recognition and appreciation, both in and out of the context of its respective show. Watching and sharing the way you get such a thrill from it brings me great happiness.

Whenever i'm at my workplace, i start whistling the Powerpuff girls theme and some of my coworkers starts doing the same. At least for me, those cartoons music themes are and were very important, and it surely helped build my musical taste, which encopasses old and newer songs of this era.

I never realized how spoiled we were with amazing themes 20-30 years ago. Pokemon, X-Men and Jimmy Neutron lived in my head all throughout elementary school

Flintstones being rhythm changes. Hey Arnold being a hard-bop masterpiece. Teen Titans being a J-pop banger. Lots of other examples.

Honestly, the Fairly Odd Parents theme was always one of my favorites growing up. I seriously wonder if that show is one of the reasons I grew up to love big band jazz so much.

Macy Gray has one of the most unique, easily recognizable voices in the industry....she tore with the ATBG theme song.

I completely LOVED As told by Ginger. It showed so many mature topics for those days, like the absence of father figure portraited by Ginger's dad. That chapter always hit me hard. I'm grateful for listening to Macy Gray's tune here ❤❤
