I feel your pain Que. I share your philosophy about not putting money down on cars. I have over an 800 credit score as well and I work hard to keep it that way so I was shocked with the interest rates I got quoted for my M5 so I went against my philosophy and put money down because I plan to keep the car for a few years. Fortunately my credit union had "decent" rates considering the market so I went thru them.

6.24% is crazy good right now, I work at a dealer and the median rate for top tier auto is 7.99-8.99%

i refied both my daily and weekend car in April 2022 at 2.39% and 2.59%. I'm also the type to change cars every year or two but I'm sitting on these rates until they come back down. Shit is ridiculous.

I remember I had a 2.39% interest rate on my first Camaro and my credit at the time was around 720 and I was 18, it’s higher now, but it doesn’t matter. I miss those days🥲
