I don’t know why Master Duel players see me setting up a board full of Tearlaments and think “you know what definitely isn’t gonna backfire, a board wipe, it’s not like all of them have graveyard effects or anything!”

I always find Yu-Gi-Oh a funny game because it's one of the only strategy games I know were blowing up your opponents entire field can actually be a good thing for them. And I'm not even talking like you "destroy me I destroy you" type of scenario which you can see in a lot of card games with self-destructive effects. I mean like very literally "you blew up my field and now I have a better field and resource advantage than I did before you blew it up." I ain't even mad, I just think it's fucking hilarious.

All this video did is functionally show how broken some modern archtypes are these days. In MTG, Pokemon or even Lorcana. A board wipe is a BIG DEAL. In Yu-Gi-Oh, ots unfortunately just more "advantage" for your opponent

For everyone complaining about modern yugioh, if the opponent had dealt with duamutef first and then used black rose, it would prevent the +6.
Duamutef, Blessing of Horus:
If another card(s) you control leaves the field by an opponent's card effect, while this card is in your Monster Zone (except during the Damage Step): You can draw cards equal to the number of monsters with different names in your Main Monster Zone.
