Thanks for your expertise. I have been playing cello for a couple years. I have small hands, so I can't play the 3-finger positions starting at the fifth position without shifting, would you say this unconventional fingering? it seems this method you are describing permits shifting based on the size of your hand. This video was very helpful to You
