After watching several Sea to Summit cookware videos, your video is the first to answer my question. Can you cook with these pots as a skillet/pan in their collapsed form? Thanks for showing its versatility. All the other videos I've seen only show how to boil water with it.

Being how pricey this stuff is, you wouldn't think that a simple lid would be an issue.

When you look in reviews on Amazon lots of people complain about the lid. Thanks for the video.

Please make a review of the sea to summit x pot 1.4 after 1 or 2 years of use, what are the shortcomings of the product and the comparison with the sea to summit kettle 1.3 thank you🙏

Thanks for this. I was wondering how it would hold up if I sautéd in it. I tend to be self sufficient even if I'm in a group of friends so I can always bow out if I don't agree with how the trip is going, want to take a different route, or if I just need to go home early.

It’s interesting to see you sauté and fry stuff with it; the instructions “insist” that you MUST keep the aluminum base fully covered with water at all times to avoid damaging the silicone. Or were you extra careful and just used a very low heat??

Anyway. Great pot. Thanks for the review.

I just got one of this and reading the instructions it says that they do not recommend any type of Frying and to only use it with liquid. I see you didn't really care about that and probably me either. have you had any problems because of that? or Sea to Sumit just wants us to buy the Xpan as well.
thanks man!

Beast, I've watched your camping vids for years now.  I've always just done car camping but looking at getting into backpacking.  Maybe just a day hike or a one night to start.  I just don't know how you guys are carrying these kinds of foods and keeping them in backpacks.  Foods like you talk about cooking in this video, steak, fish, hotdogs.  How does this not spoil.  Any help/pointers on food to take out hiking would be great.

The lid could be getting crushed when packed. They should make the lid concave when stored, that would afford better protection for it. Cool looking gear though. I'll give it a shot.

Hi, first of all i wanna thank you for this great informative video, i see that you used the Xpot on an alcohol stove, i'm using a wood stove and the flames are like crazy, so my question is do you think that if i reduce the amount of the wood and get low flames, I'll be able to avoid burning the silicone wall?

When you have it on your little stove, do you have fuel tabs, or wood, what kind of heat source have you used on it?

They should make the lid out of silicone

Becareful of the steam. I cooked up some steam rice, the rice was great but the lid not good. i'm hoping that it was only a once only and have bought a second pot. (bought the first from Ebay months ago)

Stress cracks..hmmm maybe from being cooled too quickly with water or with really cold climate/air etc?
