Would be nice to be able to make presets. Say a competitive, casual, and « fun » load out which you can set before queueing.

Here's a comment I left on the WarOwl video.

My gripe with the loadout system is that it removes the possibility of using certain situationally useful weapons. In my opinion, it doesn't just eliminate "meme weapons." I am someone that likes to use a lot of different weapons depending on the situation.
The Bizon, for example, can actually be quite good as an anti-eco CT weapon when solo anchoring B site. VERY situational, but still useful. I have a 1.6 K/D with the Bizon because I only use it in that situation. With this loadout system as it is right now, I probably won't have room for it. Not to mention I can find situational usefulness out of the UMP/MP5/MP7. But if I equip all the SMG's, I don't get to have shotguns or the Negev as an option (yes, also situationally useful). In my opinion, 5 slots for "mid-tier" weapons is way too limited.

Let's also take a look at the CT pistol loadout situation as well. Here's my dilemma:

1. USP-S / P2k is a mandatory pick for slot #1
2. P250: almost mandatory as an excellent eco buy and AWP sidearm
3. Deagle: almost mandatory for force buys and/or dropping to teammates
4. Dualies: very strong on pistol rounds
5. CZ75: Strong eco/force buy for playing close angles and getting a single pick
6. FiveSeven: Strong eco/force buy and AWP sidearm with a bit more sustainability

There's a good chance that I would like to buy all of these pistols at different points within a single game. I appreciate the 5-7/CZ dual equip, but I wouldn't want to have to sacrifice my precious pistol round Dualies :(

So my answer to "Do you REALLY use more than 5 in each category?" is "Yes, absolutely."

Good for comp = You can use M4A4 and A1 both..

But They should allow all guns in DM and casual mode.

the great thing about competitive CS was its similarity to chess, in the sense that every single player in both teams has access to the same tools, and it's how they use these tools that make the difference for the victory. Unlike other e-sports such as Valorant or League where you have to pick an agent that has certain skills and requires a certain playstyle, every single CS player can choose to go play short if they wish, they are not unable to do so effectively because of any preconditions. Introducing the loadout is great, as now we can play both M4's, but I'd argue it does so at the expense of a core characteristic of the competitiveness of Counter-Strike.

3:32 - yes, i do.
1. pp-bizon after pistol round for T side 2. Nova same for CT.
3. Sawed-Off for lurk at banana or Aps.
4. MAG-7 aps/boiler/side A or banana control.
5, 6. MP-9/MAC-10 for push.
7, 8. UMP-45/MP-7 for hold.
9. MP5-SD for one-way smokes.
10. XM for rofl.

Its like people forgot there are communities and players outside competitive matches. This unnecessary restriction and limiting the player's choice is just not good for Casuals and Community servers. There is not enough reason to warrants and justify the limitation to 15 guns in total. The argument '5 per category is fine because its not 3' is just silly imho, of course 5 is better than 3. This system doesn't work when there are obvious meta weapons, because AK, M4, and AWP players will continue to buy it anyway. This only hurts any other weapon outside the 3 meta ones. So unless Valve is reworking all the guns and adding a ton more later then I don't see how this would be beneficial other than making things complicated for anyone who doesn't play Competitive in parties with friends. The other option is to keep all the option outside competitive matches.

I often get the "Weapons Master" thing at the end, I often play 10-13 different weapons a game. I enjoy the old variety.

Ok but then as a result some weapons will definitely disappear for good from mm like pp bizon and AuG or negev (to be honest i love the negev it does well for me somehow), which implies that Valve might enter into some kind of crazy period where they re-adjust a lot of weapons capabilities.

Pre-planning doesn't really work in solo's to be honest. If anything I just want to drop my teammate the weapon he wants.

Also, I think that kinda limits creativity. Who the hell is going to equip the auto-sniper, Negev etc. Probably nobody. Yet those are some of the weapons, every one of us buys once in a while. Not because we want to be super smart about our choices and strategy, but because we want to have some fun from time to time as well. I fear we will lose some of that goofiness.

Not a fan at all of the limitation. I like being flexible with tactical approaches from round to round. CS should focus on the round to round experience and not evolve into a card game.

I would simply let players to choose everything. Not having to decide 5 from each category nor deciding Deagle/R8, M4A1/M4A4, CZ75/Tec-9 - FN57.
And some might say that going from 10 mid tier to 5 is limiting. Its not that much but i dont like the idea.
What is more limiting is CT-sided AR category. When you consider both M4s, FAMAS, Scout, Aug, AWP and SCAR-20 thats 7 ARs and i really think that all of them are viable in some situations. And people should not make sacrifieces and should be able to adapt in game even by unconvencional means. Yeah you might use SCAR or AUG rarely, but it surely is viable option in some new tactics that can be surprise for enemy team.

I don't understand your arguments here, there is little advantage for the average player of having little choice and I think it goes directly against what CS is, which is that anyone can with the same guns as everyone else perform every role. But by implementing load-outs to this scale you unnecessarily restrict that gameplay so 5 stack teams can be a tiny bit more specialised.

Its just stupid and im not changing my mind. I agree that most of the time I wont buy all weapons... MOST OF THE TIME. There are games where i'd love to buy M249 or Negev or some other utter shit that I would never consider adding in my Loadout. I hate how they limit everyone for no reason. Old system was fine and there was no need to change

Disagree. CS is a game where everyone is equal, no roles that determine what you should or should not do.
In it’s current capacity, this system does not harm this principle of freedom.
If more guns are added, it will.

I would always get the weapon master after my matches, averaging 9 weapons per. This loadout system will change the way I approach any scenario as I will not always have the correct loadout for the right scenario. You never know your enemy until you are fighting them, and having to limit yourself pre match makes it impossible to adapt to your enemies playstyle.

There still should be more than 5 mid-tier weapon slots. while it is a minority of the community, players like myself enjoy using most of the SMGs and SGs all in a game. I always end up getting weapons expert at the end of the matches because I prefer to use them over buying ak or m4 every other round. The option to purchase any weapon should still exist. The loadout system makes the game less enjoyable for players who like to use non-rifles such as myself.

All guns should be available to buy in this new menu just like Valorant. This is the second change in CS I really hate, the first one was removing bots from competetive

I will miss the circle buy menu, its nice being able to buy your loadout with a nice flick of the wrist
