Carol is an awesome bass player, but also a genuinely nice person. My Dad learned to play bass back in the late sixties or early seventies starting with a book by Carol Kay. About thirty years ago, my Dad got her address from a mutual friend and wrote her a letter thanking her for writing that book and inspiring him to play bass for a living. Surprisingly, she actually wrote back and sent him some recent bass lessons she wrote for a then recently book. Chuck Rainey was the only other famous bass player to actually write back. They're both class acts.

Probably one of her most recognized Bass lines is the theme song for Mission Impossible.
