I've read a lot mythology and I've looked into Tsukuyomi and what I've read from sources (which is very little on him since he doesn't show up much except for two stories his birth and this myth) he was mostly described/inturpretes as a prideful and dignified God so hearing how ungraceful the food was made you know how the rest of the story went.
