Thank you for the informative video! I ended up following your guide and renting from Cars4u. The rates were far more reasonable compared to the big name rentals. The manager, Stelios, was helpful and professional. All the cars were nice and clean. We arrived an hour earlier than we anticipated and they went out of their way to get me the rental earlier. Trust Sebastian’s recommendation. You can’t go wrong.

Two of the companies discussed and recommended don't appear in the list as of April, 2025. Also, you may wish to suggest that viewers check their credit card policies regarding insurance -- some credit cards provide insurance coverage for cars (not ATVs or scooters) automatically. It's important to note that if your credit card company does provide insurance, you need to decline ALL insurance coverage from any other source.

Perfect timing. I was actually just planning to rent a car for our upcoming trip to Santorini. They make it seem easy in other travel videos, but it's actually not so simple. I have heard some horror stories from friends in Costa Rica as well. Thank you for your tips. Great advice as always.

I loved all your videos, very informative...straight to the point. I wish I watch your videos before I travel Greece and santorini! I arrived home at YVR airport this morning from Santorini and I did rent a car from Centauro. Upon arrival at Santorini airport, you need to call Centauro for a pick up which usually takes 5 minutes. Look for a yellow Van/Centauro. I highly recommend it. I paid full coverage from the car rental of 54 euro and 38 euro for gas deposit which I got refunded back to my credit card after I returned the car at 25% gas. I got a brand new car & a manual transmission with zero scratches on the I stalled a few times lol 😆🤣 The agent told me if there is a scratch on the car I would have to pay up to 300 euros from a 1400 euros hold on my credit card. We drove the entire island and miraculously I returned the car with zero scratches....lol!!!😆🤣In case your wondering I spend 35 euros on gas for 2 days of car rental. What an adventure driving Santorini, some part are extremely narrow roads but I enjoyed the challenges. We loved Santorini, its a beautiful island! 💌

Please put the link in. I tried to book with Santorini Easy Car Rentals and even though the website states NO DEPOSIT, NO PREPAYMENT REQUIRED, we received an email asking for a deposit.

This list was a surprise. I booked with Santorini Car Rental out of Kamari because YOU recommended it in a past video. I have been very happy with the quick communication with the owner. The price is better than the ones on this list, they do not require a deposit nor asked for my credit card info. Most importantly, they have no surcharge for being 76! One company wanted 10 Euro extra per day. I'm curious as to why this company is no longer on your favourites
