The Ray-Ban Meta AI Smartglasses have been one of my tech purchases over the past year, however recently the Meta AI offerings have been greatly expanded. Are the AI features worthwhile though, and if you are interested in Meta AI, is it more tempting than the alternatives at Humane AI Pin or Rabbit R1?

Very complete review! Also, the AI features are really getting smart. Now you can look at a sign or poster and say "HEY meta call this number" and it will extract the phone number from the sign and read the digits back to you and prompt you if you want to call that number from your phone. Super cool! Also, if the sign or poster has a date, you can ask Meta to set a reminder for the date. Amazing!

@DavisFangTech i am so confused why you buy the shiny black one with transition lens ? i know that the shiny one come always with the clear one with the blue tint, and this last one cant change it color
i wish you fim the box to see whats written there is clear or transition witch imposible, i never seen some one buy box written frame is shiny black and the lens is transitions .. ❤❤❤

Just a small comment. You can record up to 3 minuts now. Great sunglasses, i just got the wayfarer model. I found a way to get the new AI working outside US 😉 No you do not have et travel to the states (that is an option) if you start over in the app and connect to a vpn after you have connected dthw glasses, the AI works. That's it 😁

Man it's a shame it is tied to Meta ai. Imagine if it could be used with chatgpts new vision mode! That would change the fucking game.

Honestly, I'm not the biggest fan of the flashing light feature when you record or capture a picture. I get it, there's some real weirdos out there, but I think that one thing I worry about is let's say I'm walking down the street or going through my college campus and I like to record the beautiful scenery, if someone sees that light, it's a possibility that they could get upset and be confrontational. Yes, legally I have a right to film, but it causes more problems than it's worth. I think that I feel a little disappointed as an adult that the technology is kind of babysitting me a little bit. With that said, all the other features seem great, and for that reason I did place an order I can't wait for it to arrive. I'm looking forward to having conversations with the AI and really enhancing my knowledge of the world around me
