My wife and I met Bob Barker in Harmony, CA, back in 1979. He was an extremely gracious individual and an absolutely wonderful animal rights activist!!! I grew up in the 1950s and 1960s watching Bob Barker host Truth or Consequences - he was an excellent MC and entertainer and ALWAYS made the contestants and audience feel that they were the show!!!

I used to love his show. My barbies were always on the price is right. I even cut my one dolls hair to look like Holly. My favorite. You were so good at making everyone happy just to see you. My condolences to his family, friends, and television viewers.

He was an icon and seemed to be a really good guy. My nephew was on The Price Is Right not too long before Bob Barker retired. My nephew loved game shows from the time he was a pre-schooler and Bob Barker was at the top of his list.

My nephew and his future wife, after he was on the show, got off a tour bus and left a letter in Bob Barker’s mailbox. Bob Barker replied to him, and I’m sure my nephew still has the letter.

BIG part of my childhood. I remember watching Truth Or Consequences and The Price Is Right with my mom in the 70's (if I came home from school for lunch). I know he was 99 and it would happen sooner rather than later but it still saddens me. Rest In Peace Bob and everyone remember to have your pet spayed or neutered.. 💔

Just heard about this moments before hearing your comments on it Steve. Bob Barker had an amazingly long life and died in a similar manner to Betty White under the same circumstances. Enjoyed Mr. BARKER on Price is Right for many years and applauded both he and Betty's devotion to animals. RIP to both ❤
