well it seems i made some kindergarten ass mistakes here. just so nobody leaves this video with a wrong idea of spanish (gracias commenters):

-“graciosa” means funny. not gracious.🤦‍♂️
-“tecnicos” is technicians, not techniques. that’s “tecnicAs”.
-i fucked up the gender of a couple words like “corazón” (M), and “salud” (F)

whoops

Tengo que decir que, desde un hablante en español, esta traducción me encanta, hay algunas faltas de ortografía pero irónicamente eso calza con el personaje de Galinda, Great Job

Oh my god you did so good! I don’t speak very good Spanish but what I did know seemed good. Keep doing what you do!

You did amazing! I'm obsessed omg. Here are a few things and corrections that might help you:

0:17 here you should just replace "graciosa" with "amable", cause "graciosa" is "funny".

0:31 it'd be "mi corazón lleno de dolor" corazón is a masculine word, so instead of "llena" it'd be "lleno". Also, you'd have to replace the "con" with "de".

1:15 "te mostraré técnicos" just the gender of the word again, it'd be "técnicas". Since "técnicos" means "technicians".

1:52 "no hay ningún persona" the gender again, "persona" is a female word, so it'd be "ninguna"

2:28 in this section you're using third person "ellos" while you should be using second person "tú" why? Because she's giving advice about what she tells others, not talking about those people... It's pretty confusing to explain, since in english both "ellos/ellas" and "tú " are "you". But basically, it should be "piensa, por tu propio bien..."

2:32 since "los" is plural it'd be "los que son admirados" or even "los que se *admiran*".

2:42 "what a joke" is more like "qué chiste!" But "qué broma es!" Isn't technically incorrect.

2:50 just the gender again, "salud" is female, so it's "tienes buena salud".

Overall you did an incredible job! I've been a fan of yours since some time ago and (as a native spanish speaker and part-time english teacher) I'm so thrilled to hear you sing in this beautiful language!
Your pronunciation is practically perfect and aside from those few grammar mistakes (which are absolutely normal, specially the gender ones, since english doesn't gender it's words) it shows that you absolutely know your stuff. I'll be listening to this in repeat and thank you for the great cover!

Estaré esperando a ver qué otros covers en español sacas! Y perdón por hacer un comentario tan largo jaja me emocioné, suerte con tu aprendizaje bro 🤙

This is a great cover! As a Spanish speaking language you did a nice job, there are some mistakes but I have never seen something like an English speaking person making an Spanish cover! I admire all this effort ^^

Heyyy! I think that your pronunciation was absolutely wonderful!! As a native Spanish speaker I’m so, so, SO glad that I get to hear a cover of yours in my language, given that I’m a huge fan of your work.

This was really good ! I'm Spanish and your pronunciation is surprisingly good :)) There are some words that as you have been told in the comments and that you mentioned in the pinned one that are false friends as we call them in Spain, meaning that they might seem to mean something because of how similar they are to a word we already know but it ends up having a completely different meaning lol, common mistakes. Some sentences are also not really well structured like for example the line that says "they're gonna love you" would translate to 'les vas a encantar' or 'te van a adorar' instead of "te van a encantar". If we use "te van a encantar" it would translate to "you're gonna love them".

The difference here is that adorar is a transitive verb, alguien adora algo (someone loves something) so the person that loves smth is the subject and the something that is loved is the direct object. On the other hand, encantar is an intransitive verb, a alguien le encanta algo (it translates the same way as the other one but the verbs are different in Spanish. If we take the literal meaning of the phrase though, it would be someone is enchanted by something although it's seldom used with this literal meaning in mind and more with the other one), so the person who loves something is now the indirect object and the smth that is loved is the subject. That is why it would be necessary to use 'a' alguien 'le' encanta algo; in Spanish the indirect object is usually accompanied by the preposition 'a' (which indicates the reciever of the action) and the object pronoun 'le' (which is kind of redundant but it shows who the indirect object is) .

Sorry for the long paragraphs lol and sorry if the terms are not correct, I think I can manage well speaking English but explaining morphology and sentences' structures is a whole new level haha. Anyways it was a very cool and amazing cover and I had a great time listening !

Your spanish pronunciation was so good!! This isn't a disney song but i would love to see you try and rewrite el mal from Emilia Perez. I think it has potential, but the lyrics are so basic, and the song consistently breaks what little flow it has. I hope you like a challenge 😅
