Russia, literally the biggest country in the world, not just rich but abundant in natural resources and yet so impoverished by its autocratic governance and militaristic ambitions, oh dear... I wish the Russians turn around and start living in peace and harmony with their neighbours. We all will be better for it.

For all those who say that Bulgaria is the poorest in the EU, I would say to look at debt to GDP. Bulgaria is a frugal country with iron discipline and this indicator in Bulgaria is 20%. Anyone can take out debt and pretend to be rich!

Poland may look like being 4th but it has great momentum, in a few years, they can easily be in the lead. (In case of Romania, it's even more dynamic, but Romania isn't included here of course.) We, Czechs, are unfortunately a bit stagnant; we're resting on our laurels.

El GDP per capita por si sólo no indica nada. Debe ser comparado con un conjunto de indicadores como el costo de vida, el costo de alimentación, el índice de Gini, el PBI con valor agregado y sin Valor agregado, y la carga impositiva de cada país.
