Back in 2019, a man was visiting his family at an apartment complex in Kalamazoo, MI when two police officers pulled up and tried to conduct a trespassing investigation when the driver took off. Douglas Prude was later arrested and spent time in jail while fighting his case. It was appealed all the way to the highest court in the state who overturned his convictions ruling that his fourth amendment constitutional rights were violated by the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety.
