I have a special project in the works that will change the mental health world. Patreon pledges will be going toward that (and ongoing projects.) Patreons get priority song reactions, twice a month Zoom calls, personalized pictures, exclusive reactions, a peek at upcoming reactions and SO much more. EVERY SINGLE DIME GOES TOWARD MY MENTAL HEALTH OUTREACH!!!!!

This is my reaction to my first time hearing Cakra Khan's cover of Hozier's Take Me to Church. This was a request from my amazing pack member, Stephen Dolan. Thank you so much for your love!

This is one of the most sincere and thoughtful of reactions. In this world today humanity and tolerance are often regarded as weakness. But they are the strogest principals. Thank you and I have subscribed.

Great reaction. If religion, faith, brings you comfort and healing I am all for it. When people use their religion as a way to attack or put someone at lower value, then I have a problem. We are all different and unique, and we should find value in this.

Thanks Amanda for vividly explaining the song. Is this metaphorical to depict how strong the feeling of despair beyond religion? Loved your reaction!

Another very interesting version of "Take Me to Church" was done by Morgan James
with Scott Bradlee (Post Modern Jukebox). Morgan also does one of the best covers
of Joni Mitchel's "River" I've heard. Both are on YouTube. "Deathless death" could also
describe the feeling after coitus sometimes called "The little death" This might fit in
with the concept of a lover as the object of worship the song seems to describe

I would love to hear your take on Is It Gone by Forever Still. It's a beautiful, if short, song performed by Maja Shining.

OMFG! Thank you! I didn't even realize you reacted to this song. It seems like you really enjoyed it. The reason why I love it so much is it goes against a lot of what complete and total blindness of closed-minded faith can really ruin a person, and to a point ruin their faith. I'm far more spiritual than I am religious, but I am an Irish Roman Catholic. I just have a lot of issues with the Catholic, and pretty much any Christian, followers simply because they truly think that they're following the teachings of Christ, and it's all bullshit. I know several Satanists that follow the teachings of Christ far better than most of the Christians I've met. Anyway, off my soapbox now and time to shut up.
