Elvis has left the building! He’s officially adopted by his foster family 🎉

Elvis is out do the shelter and in a foster to adopt this week! What that means is someone has began the process to adopt him and just needs to make sure he gets along with their current animal/animals and does well in other certain situations. He’s settling in nicely and all looks great! We will update officially once we have the final verdict either way.

I hope he finds a new home. He could live another 5 years or more and I bet he would be the best dog in the world and thankful for a home. Hound dogs are the best...mellow and smart. Good luck boy!!

So sad. About 10 years ago, I went to our local shelter and asked which dog was the oldest. They had a 9 year old Lab that had been there for a year. I decided to adopt him just to get him out of there. I was going to try to find him a home, but was ready to keep him if I wasn’t able to. I had him for about 6 months, and his vet asked if she could adopt him. I stayed in contact. They loved him so much, and he lived another 4 years. He had the best care in his last years.
