Hurricane Helene Leaves Path Of Destruction, Kills At Least 30

Hurricane Helene left an enormous path of destruction across Florida and the entire southeastern U.S. on Friday, killing at least 30 people in four states, snapping trees like twigs, tearing apart homes and sending rescue crews on desperate missions to save people from floodwaters.

According to an Associated Press tally Friday, the deaths occurred in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina.

My big sister lives in one of these states as a nurse at a Heart Hospital and her work wouldn’t cancel forcing my Dad to drive her to work while the streets are flooded on his birthday there putting both of them in danger kind of wish my big sisters’ boyfriend had his Parents’ boat with him and their townhouse that would’ve been a little bit safer getting my big sister to work. But her boyfriend went to help his parents’ maybe they’ll be safer next time but I do wish her work was canceled so you can’t control people being off the streets when their boss won’t cancel. I’m not saying which state or what hospital thise are privacy concerns and I don’t want my big sister to be fired. But still wanted to point out why some people disobey warnings and it’s simply work .

The floods at cedar key Florida from Helene and the small town to the east from prior hurricanes may be for a reason.

The cumulative effect of wind turbines in the plains states creates a sort of pressure that keeps large hurricanes pushed to the east in the Gulf of Mexico.
