The western most town of the contiguous states, Port Orford has a little bit of everything.

Great spring surf, restaurants, a dolly dock thats very unique and a bit of history also.

Join m din this video as I climb Battle Rock and share with you the scenery from a photographers perspective. It was a gorgeous day to be out, beautiful blue sky and warm sunshine! not very conducive to photography, but it was an amazing day to explore!

Thank you very much for watching!

Until next time,
bye.

Thank you SO much for bringing me home to PO!! My family moved to PO (Port Orford) in 1961 and quickly fell i love with this amazing piece of Oregon history. I was born in Myrtle Point, OR in 1950 and am a fourth generation Oregon native. My mother's roots are deep in southern Oregon, having arrived here in about 1843. I went to school in PO from 1961 thru 1966. My junior high years were at Battle Rock Jr High, perched on a hill overlooking the docks. Thanks for the walk down memory lane.

Love your Video. I have a home in Port Orford (In fact you show it in your video for a brief moment). Port Orford is by far one of the most magical places on the Oregon coast. Thank you for putting the time into documenting it. Take care.

I wish there was more information regarding restaurants, attractions and other info regarding the town. Pretty beach though

So cool, my experience in Port Orford was through the lens of an alcoholic mother and an abusive stepfather. I’d rather sleep on the floor in Oakland than spend a day in good ol Orford

It's odd that I spent some of my life there in the 1960's, and yet you can still walk out to Battle Rock today, what ever happened to the rising oceans? It is exactly the same as when I lived there.

The Salty Dawg in Port Orford serves up some of the best pizza on the Southern coast. Friendly people too!

Oregon coast looks like a must for the bucket list. Been to Washington, Idaho and Montana. LOVE the PNW. Some of the rocks on the beach look like remnants from a lava flow.

Love your video of the Oregon coast. My dad grew up in the Newport area...born 1934. He said agates used to cover Agate beach. He's told lots of stories...so interesting! Later, his parents moved to Astoria. I love to visit the coast and eat seafood. Look forward to more videos.

Very enjoyable video. I liked how the backround changed when you looked towards the edge of the path as you were walking up.I did not know there was a grave there. Thanks for the info. And yes Griff's on the Dock has great food. Esp the cioppino.

I think I saw you today at The Crazy Norwegian. Was that you? I was with my husband and I saw someone who looked like you. Seemed familiar 🤔.
