First Day of Winter: Snowy Nature Walk with Deer - Beauty in the Cold

Magical Winter Morning come follow us along. First day of Winter - December 21, 2024

We were so happy to get some snow yesterday. Today we went for a First Day of Winter Nature walk at Cedariver Trustees of Reservation Millis Massachusetts. The snow covered trails were so beautiful. We saw 4 White-Tailed Deer.
To extend our walk we crossed the street and explored part of Henry Shattock Trustees of Reservation. Both sides you can see the Charles River.

I feel so sorry for those innocent deer with the hunters… I don’t know how any human being can do this. They are beautiful. Stay safe little ones. River looked really pretty with the snow... I remember hiking with a friend n my teens, we went back into some hills, saw a herd of I think it was over 30 deer, that was years ago

You have a lot of snow, although not that thick yet, we still have a long winter ahead of us, I'm sure there will be more snow to come, it snowed here today too, but it's light and stopped right away. Not bad for driving to work and back home.

I went to Millis today to get some fish for my aquarium. On our way home, I saw a couple in the center of Medfield and both people had trekking poles. It looked just like you! Was that you or do you have a doppelganger?
