Hay dazz grate work, in the drawing you put bracing all 4 corner, now my question is how do you know that the braceing is needed ? Steel Design, 5th Edition-William T. Segu in this book there is a example of braceing with only gravity load and no laterial load which is apply in your situation, do you find it same way or there is other way

The beams are spanned between column strong axis and the joists (wood/steel) run over the beams in perpendicular direction. So the floor span should be perpendicular to the joists...right or wrong?

Dazz, are the beams spanning left-right (in red) necessary or are the joists adequate for stability? I assume this is what the line "All other beams to be 203x102x23" refers to. Could you give any guidance as to how you sized them please?

I was curious on why didnt you design a footing and a pedestal for your mezzanine. Is it okay if I also dont use footing and pedestal and just bolt my base plate on the existing concrete slab?
