A full walkthrough of the January 2019 mock paper 3 statistics and mechanics A-level maths edexcel exam
Timestamps:
00:00 Q1 stats from a frequency table
13:42 Q2 correlation coefficient
22:10 Q3 conditional probability
38:40 Q4 hypothesis testing
49:50 Q5 binomial distribution
1:00:35 Q6 speed time graph
1:10:47 Q7 ladder question (yep one of those horrible ones)
1:22:35 Q8 vectors
1:29:56 Q9 velocity, trajectory of a ball through the air
1:40:33 Q10 pulley mechanics
Corrections:
Ignore some of my statements about venn diagrams for q3. Clearly I misstated independent and mutually exclusive. Apologies.
Mechanics question 2 (b). My final conclusion was incorrect. µ is actually inversely proportional to the distance of the centre of mass to B. so as the centre of mass gets closer to B, µ increases. My reasoning was correct, I simply misstated the final conclusion.
