I’ve learned more from your channel than I have from ten other channels on outdoor maintenance. Thanks for giving the keys to success rather than ripping people off or just advertising your business.

Thank you! I was worried I didn't put the seed down thick enough, but according to your video I did it just right. This is exactly what I wanted to see.

You just told me something that answers an issue I have with new my sod. It was worth $300. Thank you.

As suggested, I made a mix of "Dense Shade" and "Sun and Shade" seeds - just put a few handfuls of each into a bag and shake them around to mix. Repeat for a few more loads, depending on the size of your lawn. I broadcast the mix into my treed yard, and now I have a lawn that is green in the shaded and the partly sunny areas. Been one season in, and will look for improvements this summer and next. Thanks Stanley!

I didn't even think about picking up the yard to shake it even.

Thanks for the video. I'm going to be implementing your process 2022 spring/monsoon. I live in the Northern mountains of New Mexico & I got lucky because I just tossed seed randomly by hand to cover a wide steep area, raked it in= 3 weeks germination, but I say that's pure luck partly due to the fact that it rained for about 2 weeks everyday. I want to have a plan which will provide a more thorough & not just a lucky outcome.

Stan, love your videos and watch them often. I live in central Indiana and need to reseed parts of my lawn after installing a french drain. Of course parts of the lawn have more weeds than grass. Would you recommend using a weed/grass killer before reseeding or a sod cutter to cut the thick weed beds out.

Yours was the best video so far. The ground in Arizona is hard as rocks so the advice on mixing the black dirt with the top soil really makes sense to me. Plus your cute.

Great tips as always. There exist an over seeding machine to over seed lawns, it can be rented at big box stores and its a very effective and productive way of over seeding. I also like coated seeds it increases germination results especially if you miss the daily watering from time to time...

Nice visual demonstration, I often aerate the lawn before this too. Subscribed 👍

excellent advice...i was going to just put some soil down on the existing lawn (was going to aerate) then soil and seed..i think i will breakup the soil more and mix in the new soil and seed. thank you

This technique works better in California right before an earthquake. I have always been piling up too much seed. Thanks for the tip.
