The new movie from Angel Studios, Cabrini, is scheduled to be released in a couple weeks, and I got to review it for you. Here are my thoughts and why I was pleasantly surprised.

I am a Catholic missionary priest and the son of Italian immigrants to America and "Cabrini" blew me away. When I was a child, my mother would read to me from Mother Cabrini's biography "Too Small a World." I teared up when I saw the Mother Cabrini I had grown to love through a book suddenly come to life on the big screen through the Oscar-worthy portrayal by Cristiana Dell'Anna.

I already saw it twice and plan to see it again.

I was raised Presbyterian and converted to Catholic as a 26 year old. I am now 60 years old and very much a devout Catholic. I also very much enjoy sharing perspectives with my Protestant family (some Presbyterian, some Baptist, some Pentecostal, and some Methodist). We all love God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
I loved your review on the movie. As a Christian I always cringe a bit when a movie has been made about a religious person or event. I plan on seeing this movie and feel I will have the same disappointment about the lack of faith shown. Mother Cabrini was completely surrendered to the will of God. All she did was with complete faith. Thank you for your review!

Hands down the best Christian commentator on youtube. He says what needs to be said without insulting and disrespecting people. Pure class

As a Protestant who converted to Catholicism nearly 50 years ago, this movie spoke to me at a very deep level and confirmed my faith in the Catholic Church. “What so ever you did to the least of my people, you did to Me”...

Another great video. Thanks so much! I love your Christian work, been a subscriber for a while now. Full disclosure: I am Catholic, but not anti-protestant. I love you all.

Thank you for a good review. Catholic here, looking forward to this movie. Consensus from all over is that it is very good. Anyone who makes it to heaven is a saint. The purpose of the Catholic Church canonizing a saint (meaning that it can be assumed that person made it to heaven) is precisely for what you said at the end....That you can look to her story for inspiration and it makes you question your own perseverance for Christ. You summed it up well. Any Christian, not just Catholic, can read the lives of saints and be inspired. I bet her life is even more interesting than the film, as truth is often stranger than fiction. The writings of saints, especially the early Church fathers, are very edifying for the soul. I hope this film does well and that it inspires people to read about the lives of saints. It boggles the mind what graces and opportunities God gives to those who are listening...and to those who don't deserve it!! Some of the most amazing saints had previously been the worst of sinners.

Yes, I have tickets for March. I am also Protestant and have never heard of Cabrini other than as a college. But it is clear that she was a servant for the Lord and made a difference helping others. Also, I can’t think of many movies that focus on an Italian that isn’t about the mafia……that is another reason I’m excited to see it.

I am definitely going to see this movie! I was taught by these amazing sisters back in the 60s . They kept the spirit and strength of Mother cabrini alive ... Not to mention gave children a great education .

I'm going. I'm a Catholic and I love my saints. Frances Cabrini was such a fearless woman. Leaving her country and coming over to America to work with the poor and succeeding in her mission because she trusted in God. I've been disappointed in so many movies. This one looks very good.

I'm a Christian, a Baptist, and I will always have endless admiration for any person who denies themselves, picks up their cross and follows the Lord. Looking forward to watching this.

I am a Catholic since 2008. I am 72 years old. I can't wait to see this movie!! I went to college in Denver, Colorado in the 1970's and always remember seeing a sign pointing to a Mother Cabrini Shrine. Unfortunately, I never visited. I didn't know some day I would be Catholic. Mother Cabrini is my hero. She is a true saint who did amazing work.

I agree ! These are hard times when we need testimonies of faith for the general public. With a woman like Cabrini among men she stands out with courage and strength. We need these type of faith movies 🕊.

Glad to see a Protestant pointing out the good in our Catholic predecessors instead of focusing on where the Catholics “went wrong”
