Hundreds of supporters and workers of Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) gathered near the collector's office in Chennai to protest against the ban on Jallikattu. Agitated over the ban on the bull-fighting sport, the party has called for state-wide protests. The Supreme Court on Thursday turned down a plea for delivering its judgment on the sport during Pongal celebrations. Some organisers remained firm that they will organise the sport despite the ruling of the apex court.
