Thank you to doctors, nurses, healthcare workers and service workers supporting us and battling the virus on the frontlines. Stay strong. We'll beat this thing!

Lex, thank you for spreading this doctor's message. I'm an Emergency Medicine physician and informatician in the Bay Area. These days, going into the ER is like going into battle. We are going to beat this together, doctors, nurses, other healthcare workers AND also the general population: getting us the PPE we need, staying home, and preventing the spread of misinformation.

We don't deserve the people who choose to be on the front lines of chaos. Soldiers, paramedics, medical workers, fire and law enforcement. They willingly answer the door when chaos knocks. God bless them all.

I’m not going to lie, the last two lines of this made me tear up. We honestly can’t thank medical professionals enough, while everyone is told to stay in, they put on the gear and head out. Thanks for sharing this Lex, sometimes it’s easy to forget the people who are doing the hard work because they’re too busy doing the work without recognition

Lex, I am a RN and MPH. Thank you for the very heartfelt tribute to the people on the front line. You exemplify why the P in PHD is for Philosopher. I hope to be able to contact you after this is over to explore uses of AI on nursing home data to improve care. In any care - stay safe, and enjoy life. Dave

In the future we will look to this man for truth, facts, and data. When we can trust no one else.

Here in Germany people are very worried about the available number of intensive care units. According to the sources I could find, we're at about 35 ICU beds per 100, 000 inhabitants, same as the US. Italy, France and Spain have about a third of that. The UK has less than 7. Covid19 can easily overwhelm our health systems.
Given that one in 20 cases needs intensive care for a week or so, you can only afford an average of ~80, 000 new cases a day. Without precautions, you would reach that number within less than two weeks. If we exceed the capacity of our health system, doctors need to improvise or make decisions whose life to save.
Stay at home, guys. This is serious. #flattenthecurve

Thank you for reading this moving account. I think its important that people have perspective on what this really is. No just empty streets and closed restaurants. Its over capacity hospitals and shortages of medical equipment.

Bless all the doctors. I haven’t left my house in nearly 2 weeks other than to jog. We all need to do our part.

Support the frontlines team by not getting sick, staying home and minimizing all kinds of outside activities possibly. It's Game Hide-and-seek with Corona.
We hide until time out, we win. Game Over!

Medical workers are heroes. In Wuhan, hospitals offer free foods and psychological helps for medical workers. We are grateful for their kindness.

Lex, I love your podcast. In France, we reached 1100 (Offical figures from dead at the hospitals). Reality is 3-4 times more for 3 reasons 1) Dead at home are not in the statistics 2) We have 7000 places specialized for Elderly called "EPHAD" where old persons are: For 1-2 weeks once the virus contamine 1 resident within EPHAD, the spread is fast so that after 2-3 days, you have sudenly 20-30 people who are dying after 48 -72 hours: Those deads are not in the "official deads" by covid statistics" 3) More and more Doctors are dying (At least 5 in the last 48 hours). I'm an optimist and rational person but situation is more and more difficult for "our soldier" in Hospitals, looking for masks and Machine to help the people to breath

I really appreciate you tone in these videos. My hope is that the pandemic helps to break down the social divides that have gotten really bad over the past decade. That's the silver lining I'm looking for.
