In 2006 there was a country called "Valtio" (And yes, it's name in English is just "Country") founded inside of Finland at Posio by radio journalist Ari "Paska" Peltonen (His nickname means "shit"). It was "re-conquered" by Finnish defense forces in 2007. My uncle told a story of how he was doing his mandatory military service back then and was part of the group who reconquered the place. The whole thing was mostly just a joke and not a real attempt at forming a country, but still a really interesting one.
