In this Linux in a Minute video you will learn how to make Linux write command output to a file. This is useful when trying to save command output to view later, or when generating large amounts of data that moves too fast to review in real-time. This method used to write to a file in Linux applies to most major Linux distributions including Debian, Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Red Hat, CentOS, and Fedora.

Could I make the file that it writes to a database or a spreadsheet? I'd like to run a command chronologically and then take the output and put it on a spreadsheet or a database. How would I go about doing that? Great video thank you very much
