I laughed out loud when you said "per usual" about your haul! Reminds me of myself. Can't wait for the new Barnes!

Yes to The Arab of the Future! I've been talking about it for a while now. I can't wait for part 3. It's very informative. Oh you have very nice friends.

I also try my hardest to not buy books but I fail every damn month. I hope you enjoy Between the World and Me. I adored it.

I really loved The Chimes. I know people had mixed feeling about it, but I think it's quite well done. Also I love that paperback edition.

I'm reading The Noise of Time at the moment--it's so good! (for the first 25 pages anyway haha). And how awesome to be in the acknowledgements of a book! I'd probably frame the page!

I think you will enjoy the Infernal Devices, and I think you will also like the Chimes. I love the Chimes so much! Curious to hear your thoughts about the new Julian Barnes - I've read a few of his and quite like his work, although I sometimes have mixed feelings.

I hope you like The Chimes! It was probably my most enjoyable Man Booker read :) I've not read any Julian Barnes yet - really need to get on that - but didn't realise that that was the premise for his new book. Sounds really interesting. I'm also dying to read Between The World and Me. So much to book envy! Great haul xx

Lucky you getting all those great books! :) I instantly added The Noise of Time to my tbr when you talked about it - that sounds soo good! I wasnt a massive fan of The sense of an Ending although I really liked his writing :) So maybe this one's more for me - sounds so fascinating! Funny you should mention Maus, I actually thought about picking that one up today :P Also, you really should read the second vol. of Persepolis - imo its much better than the first :) Great haul! xx

The Arab of the Future seems really interesting. I'm not much of a graphic novel girl, but if its anything like Persepolis I think I will check it out.

The Noise of Time sounds AWESOME.
Yesterday I finished Fevre Dream by George R.R Martin and it was SO INTERESTING it's inspired me to write/make my first like book recommendation thing. I really want you to read it and know your thoughts.

Haha I managed to get halfway though City of Bones and I just couldn't go on. Didn't like it at all. And it's funny that people always recommend The Infernal Devices instead.
