How to Play Fortnite on PC With PS4 or PS5 Controller 2024 - PC & Laptop

In this tutorial I show you how to play Fortnite with PS4 or PS5 controller on PC and laptop. You can play Fortnite with controller using a wired connection. This is the best option as it provides the best performance and connectivity. Additionally, the controller should natively work as intended with Fortnite when using a wired connection.

However, you can also play Fortnite on PC with a wireless controller. To do so you will need to connect your controller to your PC using Bluetooth. Additionally, your computer and controller will both need to have Bluetooth.

To connect a PlayStation controller to your PC via Bluetooth the controller will need to be put into pairing mode. Once done the controller should then appear in your Bluetooth search on your computer.

Once your wireless controller has been connected to your computer it may work in Fortnite. However, if it doesn’t then you can use the Steam controller support feature. You can turn this on through the Steam controller settings. For it to work in Fortnite you will either want to enable the support feature for your controller, or set it to “Enabled in games w/o support”. Depending on the controller you are playing Fortnite with, you may see a drop down menu or just an on/off switch.

After you have connected your controller to your PC you will need to use Steam to enable controller support. You will need to set the PlayStation controller support option to enabled in games w/o support. However, if your PS4 or PS5 controller still isn’t working then you can try setting the support option to enabled.
