I say we don't know enough. It is very bad form to propose at someone else's wedding, even if your bride just caught the bouquet (unless pre-approved by the bride & groom). It is their day, and no one should upstage them.

Perhaps he is sitting quietly because he is already planning the proposal, not because he is clueless.

Perhaps the net is too obvious. Or perhaps the other women standing to catch the bouquet were fine with it and found it hilarious. Perhaps she was being too obvious. Or perhaps this is just an expression of exuberance that delights her future fiance.

If you don't know someone intimately - and even more if you do - I find it is best not to assume we know the whole story and be judgmental.

In my cousins wedding when the boquet was thrown, women surged for it. When the stocking got thrown, eye witnesses claim me and the best man almost competed which one cold jump out the window fastest.
