Putin using nuclear weapons would have ‘catastrophic’ effects for Russia

ANU Strategic and Defence Studies Centre Professor John Blaxland says whilst Russian President Vladimir Putin has “huffed and puffed” about the use of tactical nuclear weapons, he has received a lot of “pushback”.

“That would have significant and fairly catastrophic knock-on effects for Russia,” Mr Blaxland told Sky News Australia.

The U.S used nukes on Japan because nobody else had them. Today lots of countries have them, it will only take one to launch for everyone else to follow. Also, nuclear power plants do not explode like nukes and Russia would lose a conventional with NATO.

The Patriot system couldn't even shoot down a Chinese Balloon going at 5 miles per hour, never-mind Russian missiles.

I should mention that the balloon was flying at an altitude at which the Patriot system is designed to shoot down ballistic intercontinental missiles.

The F-22 struggled to shoot it down at that altitude. The truth of the matter is - the US doesn't have a viable Nuclear missile defence.

How to go to Heaven
