In this weeks training Danny Maude shows you how to play from sloping lies. By the end of the training you will know exactly how to set up and what 3 things you should be concentrating on in order to strike your shots more consistently.

You will also learn the common faults as to why golfers struggle playing sloping lies and tips you can go away and practice to begin playing them well.

I'm a new golfer and I'm trying to break 100 for the first time. I think it's the little things like this that are going to help me get some strokes back from duffs. Thank you 💪

Thanks for the refresher on these "tricky sloping lies" Danny. I find that I get into these situations at least two or three times during my tournament rounds.

Wonderfully logical. Your vertical axis is perpendicular to the slope as a starting point. Legend Danny Maude.

So, the ball favours the higher foot, wider stance at 90 degrees to the slope, and swing comfortably within yourself. I hope its as simple out on the course as it is on the sofa! Thanks Danny.

Hi Danny, at my course you can encounter a bad lie pretty much on every fairway if your unlucky. The one I struggle with is a flat ball and back foot lie but the lead foot is in a dip.If you try and balance with the lead toe it mostly ends up low to the right duff, the ball position as normal. When you swing its hard not to fall off balance. So front foot down as such.

Great video. I went out to the golf course for the first time in 30 years. I have been practicing on the range but slope shots you cannot practice on driving range.
I did horrible on the golf course because of the sloping lies I got. Your video here will help me understand how to play the shots next time I go out.

On my course there are a number of steep lies, both uphill and downhill. Plus some ball above the feet and below the feet. And both at the same time. I liked your advice to use a more lofted club and a easy swing. I have found from experience that using the same club and swing I would use on flat ground does not work well even though I do try to align myself to the slope. I really need help with the ball above the feet situation. So I am excited to see your video on that situation. When will it be posted? And thanks for the great video.

Great video! A problem I find myself in a lot which almost always ends poorly. I like the approach of ball position favors the high foot! That will stick with me. Thanks for a very useful tip.

Thanks Danny. For these types of shots would you advise to refrain from using a fairway wood or even a hybrid club?

Danny, would you advise opening club face to use bounce for shots inside 100 yards ?

Hey Danny another great video. How about ball above the feet?

Danny would you approach a downslope fairway with a Hybrid club the same as the iron club you are demonstrating .Thanks

Very helpful. What happens when the ball is above your feet?

Since you suggest 3/4 strength for the swing, should you change club selection to make up for loss yardage?

On the uphill slope do you consider the loft of the club as well? Depending on the distance, do you use 1 club higher/lower?
