I think it would be worth posting to local facebook groups to advertise the jobs, also make a website and maybe even online ads

As someone who works in sales, it hurt to watch your sales calls. In saying that, I think you did well, considering it's not what you do. What I would advise is to lead for a more definitive call back if someone is busy, by telling them you will book them into your calendar to make it seem like you are busier than you are and you're making time for them. This works especially well when you deal with a third party like a partner etc

Brother, if it’s costing you almost a dollar a lead through the mail. I don’t understand why you don’t do digital advertisement and use your lead magnet as a way to get people to sign up.

This series is addictive. Please keep it going. Cold calling is easy but you only learn by doing. You grow a thick skin and getting knocked back has no impact. Initially however it’s horrible. Little idea, have you thought about some bigger commercial jobs like offices etc…. The payout will be larger and repeat business perhaps easier to get.

it's not doing it over the phone that makes things not work. it's simply that those people felt a bit pressured to say yes when you were right in front of them offering them the paid service and told you to check in later, but they had no intention to actually hire you. that's why that lady simply had other people come around to do her drive way despite having talked to you first and telling you to check in later for it. they simply didn't want to have you try to push the sale harder so they said maybe, because then you'd be doing it over the phone, where people are much more comfortable and used to refusing sales offers

So ridiculous doing things by mail simply due to cost, either advertise on Facebook where people can make an estimate on wether the trust you or just get a kid and pay him 10 quid an hour to post letters. Much cheaper and employs somebody

instead of doing full a4 sheets per house, invest in a paper cutter, get 4 pieces of paper from 1 a4, leave an email, website and number. short description nice pictures.

‘ I bet you know three or four other people who would benefit from a service like mine, would you mind writing down the names and phone numbers of a few people’

Then the cost of your new lead is free and the lead will be semi warm when you call them and say Sandra gave me your number and thought you could benefit from this

At this stage you need to keep your overheads low. At the moment it’s £0 to increased Debt…. Cut the buying as much as possible…
If they give their flyer to a friend, they can use a voucher for 10% off or something. Less of the free and hefty stuff. Their second clean is 10% off.

Got to watch you don’t make prices so cheap, is hardly worth doing as not meeting your costs.

You will get that. Chase the good ones, problem people you don’t need to fight for.
