I think part of the reason her "fantasy hair" still works is because it feels realistic to what a teen/young adult would actually dye their hair, plus it's rather muted/pastel which makes her stand out less. Kinda like the pale pink mermaid from the reboot you used!

It's a little tricky because of how teeny tiny the shoes are but its definitely possible to tie the laces of the mini fashion sneakers so they are a bit better fitting on a standard barbie foot! Otherwise a bit of poster putty under their heel works too :)
