Looks great. But to me, nothing will beat the treat my mom used to make for snacks and lunches...a quality onion bagel sliced in half, topped with a slice of Bandon or Tillamook cheddar cheese and some slices of pepperoni, popped in the oven on a cookie sheet for 45 seconds to a minute on broil. Heaven.

I agree, I prep my toast the same way. Something about the butter cooking into it on a pan gives it a taste that goes perfectly with eggs. I first noticed the difference as a result of making eggs in the hole, which is my favorite egg dish. I’ll have to give it a try with bagels!
