Season five will chronicle the aftermath of last season’s horrific events and find the characters coming to terms with the consequences of their choices – as they make the realization that if they really want to change their futures, they must first face the past. Helen (Tierney) begins the season involved in an intoxicating new affair with a charismatic movie star (guest star Claes Bang), who offers to give her everything she’s been missing. Noah (West) meanwhile has to swallow his pride and his jealousy and step in to take care of his family in her absence. But just when things seem to have stabilized, a chance encounter with someone from the distant past sets in a motion a sequence of events that brings them both to their knees. Paquin stars as Alison and Cole’s now adult daughter Joanie Lockhart, who returns some years in the future to piece together the truth about what happened to her mother, bringing the whole story full circle.

I caught this show very very late, I binged watched just last fall. It's hilarious reading the comments of people freaking out about the "me too" storyline. A show that deals with different viewpoints, and where does the truth actually lie, was the perfect format on addressing a "he said, she said" issue.

the show is a fucking hit now. it's regaining the darker theme it had lost by far. a quick-quick question though, before Joanie had revealed her true identity to Cruz, she signed a paper. Now that paper must have been signed by the fake name Gabrielle (really, out of all the names hmm??) otherwise what's the point of hiding identity from Cruz. this could have been used as a proof by Joanie about ben lying to detectives since the original signatures are not by her own name. Am I wrong somewhere in the theory?

Season 1, 2, and three were brilliantly written..It feels like after that it crashed ..This doesn't do Anna paquin justice. The script is too much to bare and over acted .

I hated the scene with old Ben Cruz describing how he killed Allison. It has so fake, bad acting.

This is ridiculous Noah wouldn't have to force or manipulate a woman into sex and i don't believe he was harassing her sexually Noah would just be forward with what he wanted and if she didn't want him it would be her loss this is getting out of hand 😬

Every week i see a lot of complaining down here. But in my opinion, this Season is really good. It shows how bad actions can reflects despite the years (and decades for Joanie).

I trust the writers to make a good ending. All Of this going to make sense. I truely believe that.

Yes, important issues, but every god damn show follows this same agenda. It's so nice to switch to spanish shows or something else foreign (icelandic show trapped for example).
