The given figure illustrates the steps that a renewable resource such as rapseed or algae has to undergoe through, to be converted into biodiesel.
By virtue of using renewable resources like rapeseed or algae, which can be grown by using just sunlight and carbon dioxide. which is in turn the final byproduct after biodiesels's usage, the process can be considered to be cyclic.

Are these sentences too long/complex for an introduction and overview? Do they require some modification?

The method of manufacturing biodiesel is described in the diagram below.
Overall the means of producing biodiesel occurs in a cycle starting with a plant with two by-products that are made in the process.
The process begins with renewable energy sources such as rapeseed or algae. These plants require carbon dioxide and the sun to grow. The plants are used to extract oil and create a by-product that can be used as a high protein food material for livestock.
Once the oil is extracted, we move on to the second step where the biodiesel is produced by the factory. This process creates the second by-product called Glycerine. Glycerine is used as an additive in the cosmetic and food industry.
From there, the biodiesel is shipped to fuel stations where the petrol can be used to power various vehicles. However, the emissions from the cars are used by the plants to grow where the cycle starts all over again.
