College Move- In Day!! US Air Force Academy edition

We finally moved into my academic year squadron room at the US Air Force Academy. I didn’t get to film the whole chaos of the day and the crowded hallways and all that, but hey if your bored and you want to watch a 4 minute time lapse video then I hope you enjoy it! This move in day is not like your typical move in days because I’ve been on campus since June 25th for basic training but now we are transitioning to AC year rooms. My dad was a professor of Economics at the Air Force Academy in the late 1960s. I was in 4th grade. We lived in Douglas Valley and loved exploring in the woods. Went to Air Force/ Navy games. It was a great life. I wish you the best and know you will have the time of your life there. Take care!

Class of 1999 here. I was looking for pics of the USAFA dorm rooms to show my fiancé what they looked like and I came across your video. What a blast from the past! I can’t believe you’re still using the same furniture. 😂 Those were upgraded when I was there, maybe 1996? Actually, I can believe it’s the same furniture. 😂😂 Anyway, thanks for sharing! Starting at 1:00 it appears you are wiping out black mold (Aspergils) from out of your dorm room's windowsill. Do yourself a big favor and make a note of the day/time you did that and keep it like forever during your military career. The USAF knows it has a very big problem right now with mold contaminating conditions in a lot of dorms and other on-base living facilities esp. those that were built year's and years ago, like in the 70's & 80's and which are still being used as living quarters today. If you ever develop physical respiratory problems later in life that can be linked to your exposure to moldy living quarters, you were given by the military then your notes that you kept can be used to substantiate VA benefits claims after you have completed your period of service.

pro tim]p i heard about: since freshman cant have coolers in their rooms put bottles in the window and close the curtains and make them touch the glass cause in the fall months it can get very cold in the window

They let you use Windex to clean your mirrors? We had to make a tight squeege of newspaper and sink water!! Back in 1974.
