Aspinall looks sluggish compared to Jones. Jon's fight IQ is exceptional. He is probably low key studying Toms weaknesses.

I see the fight going like this

Jon’s goal is to get the fight to the 3-4 rounds. He will wrest and hit Aspinall on the ground like he’s never got hit before. Aspinal is going to be so tired when they stand back up he will have little power to throw those power punches and Jone’s will pick him apart after that. Knock out in the 4-5th round or decisions is my prediction.

Jones is superior in BJJ, wrestling, general fight IQ and has the most malicious oblique kicks that would blow out Aspinall’s knees after just two kicks. Jones has been hit with some of the heaviest punches and never got rocked, so fat chance Aspinall can squeeze a quick KO against someone with a good chin and who knows how to maintain distance.

I do feel sad that Tom, like many other title fight deserving fighters, has been made to wait. Tom is great, smart athletic and started mma as a child. But after saying this, he is a 31year old man who is barely an interim champion. Jon was a champion at 23 and started mma at about 19! So, Tom will probably get to defeat Jon due to their current age difference which comes with speed and power for Tom. So, because Tom will never be able to match Jon’s record, he will never be better than Jon legacy wise. Jon’s fighting has been poetry in motion and his creativity has been unmatched. Still, I will be happy to have Jon, Tom or Pereira as a Champ!
